Discovery not only helps you uncover biblical truth, but equips you to continue growing as a life-long student of Jesus Christ. Journey through four foundational courses and develop friendships while becoming part of a smaller community at NHC.
Discovery is also a place for those who recognize the importance of being people of grace who walk alongside those beginning the Christian journey. Whether you’re just starting your walk with God or are a mature believer seeking a fresh adventure, come enjoy “Connections.”
Fall Discovery Courses
Alpha
This LEVEL 1 course overviews popular topics of Christianity through video presentation and small groups. Join friends who want their deepest questions answered in a fun environment. This course is followed by the LEVEL 2 course, “Christianity Explored” where more questions can be answered about life and faith and you’ll receive an introduction to reading the Bible.
Gospel of John
Join friends in a LEVEL 3 course for a wonderful reading journey through this popular Gospel. No homework, just read the Bible for yourself and share insights each week to discover more about Jesus of Nazareth and his amazing message.
Pursuit of Godliness: The Great Salvation
This LEVEL 3 addition is the first of a three-part series. “The Great Salvation” study addresses specific topical issues of Christianity at a deeper level. Participants read short articles, study a variety of passages and share insights to questions in small groups. Homework provides greater insight for participants in this study.
Precepts
This LEVEL 4 group is studying the Gospel of Matthew. Plan on a deep exploration of the Kingdom message of Jesus and the many parables that shed light to Christian living. Precepts is for those desiring Bible study and deep dialogue in a small group environment. Homework provides greater insight for participants.
