Family: I am a native of Southern California, born in Los Angeles, and grew up in Mid-City. I was raised evangelical-privileged with rich examples of Christian heritage. My parents migrated from the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. I am the youngest of five siblings with four brothers and one sister. I am happily married to Xochitl Cachon since October 1994 and have three awesome sons: Joshua, Aaron and Michael.
Equipped for Service: When I was 9 years of age there were two things I saw myself doing in life. The first was to become a builder. I accomplished this in 2001 when I received my Class B license as a general contractor in California. The second was to become a full-time minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, which I accomplished in 2004. For me there is no coincidence that God gives to us the desires of our hearts (Psalm 37:4). Life is not easy, as there are many “rabbit trails” and “detours” that we come across, but I thank Christ that it is he who, “…qualifies those whom he calls” (2 Corinthians 3). I have been called to prepare, build and strengthen the bride of our Lord Jesus Christ for the glory of his name. I enjoy coaching people, vision casting, training, strategic planning and empowering leaders to glorify God by discovering their gifts.
Appreciation for NHC: There is only one phrase that I would use to describe my appreciation for NHC: “That I may be faithful in all things and diligent in all matters with the help of the Lord!”
Scripture: “Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.” Isaiah 30:18 (ESV)
