Pablo Cachon FamilyFamily: I am a native of Southern California, born in Los Angeles, and grew up in Mid-City. I was raised evangelical-privileged with rich examples of Christian heritage. My parents migrated from the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. I am the youngest of five siblings with four brothers and one sister. I am happily married to Xochitl Cachon since October 1994 and have three awesome sons: Joshua, Aaron and Michael.

Education Background: I graduated from Franklin High School in Highland Park, California. Shortly after graduating, I attended Latin American Bible Institute, in La Puente, California. This is where I received a degree in Biblical Studies. In 2001 I became a licensed General Contractor in the State of California. In 2010 I received my credentials with the Evangelical Free Church of America.

Equipped for Service: When I was 9 years of age there were two things I saw myself doing in life. The first was to become a builder. I accomplished this in 2001 when I received my Class B license as a general contractor in California. The second was to become a full-time minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, which I accomplished in 2004. For me there is no coincidence that God gives to us the desires of our hearts (Psalm 37:4). Life is not easy, as there are many “rabbit trails” and “detours” that we come across, but I thank Christ that it is he who, “…qualifies those whom he calls” (2 Corinthians 3). I have been called to prepare, build and strengthen the bride of our Lord Jesus Christ for the glory of his name. I enjoy coaching people, vision casting, training, strategic planning and empowering leaders to glorify God by discovering their gifts.Pablo Cachon

Prepared for Service: Since 1989, I have volunteered and taken part in missionary ventures, outreaches, youth ministries and lay leadership assignments. I have been part of leadership roles that benefit the greater body of Christ with the Evangelical Free Church of America and served as an intern Regional Council Member with EFCA-West District, EFCA-West District Hispanic Director and Pastor of Outreach at Church212. I was a part of the LOV Movement (Lighthouse of the Valley), networking with local pastors, para-church leaders and Christian business leaders in the Coachella Valley. I had the role of Celebrant with Forest Lawn Mortuaries, meeting the needs of grieving people and helping them celebrate the life of their departed loved ones. In 2004 I pioneered a Spanish ministry at Southwest Community Church, Indian Wells, California. In 2008, I planted Nueva Vida Church (Indio, California). Currently I serve on the National Hispanic Leadership Team for the EFCA strategic planning, vision casting and networking.

Appreciation for NHC: There is only one phrase that I would use to describe my appreciation for NHC: “That I may be faithful in all things and diligent in all matters with the help of the Lord!”

Free Time: In my free time I enjoy hanging out with the family, listening to music, reading and watching a good game of “Trojan” football! I like the Los Angeles Lakers and enjoy long bike rides. Bar-b-que on the grill is a good way to end the day and COFFEE is a must! (I really don’t own a Harley, but I ride my mountain bike for now.)

Scripture: “Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.” Isaiah 30:18 (ESV)
