What a privilege it is for me to serve as New Hope Church’s Care Director. I shepherd a team of gifted individuals who have a passion to care for others in the areas of disabilities, senior adults, prayer, visitation and Care Groups. As we also meet other tangible needs, we see God work through His body to those in our church and to our neighbors in the surrounding community.
Our end goal is to draw people closer to Jesus, either into a new relationship with Him or a deeper one. 2 Corinthians 5:14 says this well. “For the love of Christ compels us because we have concluded this: that One has died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for Him who for their sake died and was raised.”
My caring role expands when I go home. My husband, Bob, and I enjoy the company of our five children and their spouses, as well as nearly 20 grandchildren. We enjoy traveling, camping, hiking and finding new ethnic places to dine. In quiet moments on my own, I love to read, sing and write or pull kind but hilarious practical jokes on my friends.
