I am struggling with loneliness. My husband has had to move, for several months at the least, to my son’s home in another state, to house and pet sit for him and his wife while they pursue health care in other states. Between that and COVID-19 restrictions, I am alone and, while we all keep in contact via texts and phone calls, am finding the long days without face-to-face human contact nearly unbearable. Please hold me in prayer.
An update and request for my grandbaby, son and daughter-in-law. The baby, a tiny girl, 25 weeks gestational age, has Congenital Bilateral Renal Agenesis—no kidneys. It has historically been incompatible with life, most babies with CBRA are stillborn or die within hours of birth as they are unable to breathe due to lack of lung development, for which kidneys play a key role. However, in recent years, amniofusion for the mother hav given some babies a chance at life. While the risk for death is still far higher than the risk for life, the treatment gives the babies’ lungs a chance to develop properly and give the child a chance at life. My daughter-in-law started the treatments 4 weeks ago. She and my son had to move from their home to another state For her to get the amniofusions and will have to move again soon to be at a hospital that can treat the baby with a special type of dialysis while she awaits a kidney transplant. Sorry for all the details, but, as you can tell, this is a precarious situation for my kids and granddaughter. There are so many details to pray over. The baby’s health, my daughter-in-law’s safety, their jobs and schooling (both doing remote work and schooling, which helps), housing, finances, etc. Please hold this in your prayers.
My daughter Ashley's left eye went completely blind Monday immediately after an eyedrop to dilate it at the eye doctor. It has been completely blind ever since. Ashley immediately cried "Can't see" and she says "Everything is black". It has now been 30 hours. This is NOT a listed side effect of dilation eye drops. Please pray that she will still regain her sight and not stay blind. Also please pray for her left eye in general as she could only see the largest numbers on the eye test and blurry. She went from 20/30-20/250 and is now legally blind BEFORE the eye drop. But she could still see big things, color... , and no blackness.. Now she says she cannot see at all. All is black. Thank God her right eye is fine. She will have a follow-up at a retina doctor next Monday, the best in the state. I am waiting to talk to him and his nurse ASAP to see if anything can be done before Monday's appointment and make sure he knows which eyedrop was used and be prepared for next Monday if nothing can be done sooner. Please pray that Ashley's left eye will regain at least some of its sight so that it works with the right eye like before and not seeing half black all the time. Thanks, Wendy Beard
I've been experiencing high anxiety lately. I am the mom of 3 with a newborn baby. My husband works at night and that's when my anxiety is the worst. I feel lonely, afraid, and anxious at night. It's worse if I can't fall asleep. Please pray for sweet sleep and that Jesus would be near to me in my darkest moments.
My brother has taken a turn for the worse with COVID-19. My niece is taking him to St Cloud Hospital. Please continue praying.
Prayers for healing for grandson who is out of state at college and is sick, & awaiting Covid test.. Thank you!
Please pray for my sister-in-law Shannon. Last week she had an MRI due to back pain and ended the day with a diagnosis of diffuse metastatic bone cancer. She has multiple spine fractures and tumors. The Drs. have not yet determined the source of the cancer. Tomorrow she is having surgery at Mayo to remove one of the spinal tumors. Also pray for my brother Steve, and nieces who are away at college.
