Men
We are driven to see men move toward Jesus and take others with us. This is best done in two ways. First, we must be men of prayer and the Word. Second, we need to be in intentional, discipleship community with other men. Men's Ministry is designed to achieve these two goals.
If you are new to New Hope Church or have questions about how to get plugged in, we'd love to chat or meet for a cup of coffee. Reach out to Men's Ministries.
Bible studies
On Mission 4 God
Wednesdays, January 8–May 7, 6:30–8pm, Ministry Center
Break out of the classroom and develop a missional lifestyle. This is not your traditional Bible study. We will interact with audio-visual materials, hear from guest speakers, and tap into some Bible study topics that help us create a rhythm in our lives that promotes our walk with our Savior, while meaningfully living in community with our neighbors. We will perform a deep dive into important concepts to develop and activate your mission and future, shoulder-to-shoulder with other men.
No cost, but donations are welcome.
Navigators 2:7 Series
Wednesdays, January 8–May 7, 6:30–8pm, Ministry Center
Book 1: Growing Strong in God’s Family
Learn ways to spend personal time with God in the Bible and in prayer. Discuss helpful Bible studies and memorize key verses on principles for Christian living.
Book 2: Deepening Your Roots in God’s Family
Memorize several classic Bible verses that you will use for a lifetime. Experience an extended time alone with God. Think through your own spiritual history so that you can express it to someone not yet committed to Christ.
Book 3: Bearing Fruit in God’s Family
Discuss Bible studies related to Christian character. Memorize verses you can use to explain the gospel to others.
We encourage the completion of Navigators 2:7 Series in sequential order.
Cost: $12 (book)
PRECEPT STUDY: 1 Peter
Mondays, January 6–March 3, 6:30–8:30pm, Sandberg Chapel (adults)
What does it mean to suffer? Where is God when we go through hard times? How do I maintain my faith when I'm hurting? How can I endure this pain? Explore these questions and more as you learn what it means to suffer and endure through hard times. In this study of 1 Peter, explore what it means to be full of the grace of God even while living the life of an exile.
Precepts is an inductive Bible study method that provides an overall understanding of a passage of Scripture—what it says, the intended meaning to the original audience, and how it can be applied to today. This study includes video teaching, larger group discussion and individual study each week.
Cost: $26 (book + registration fee). Register by January 6.
MEN'S Friday BIBLE STUDY
Fridays, ongoing, 8am, Sandberg Chapel
Committing to dive into God’s Word together, this group encourages each other to grow as men of God to serve and draw others to Him throughout the week. No registration required.
Discipleship GROUP
Tuesdays, September 10–May 20, 6–7:30am, Sandberg Chapel
OR Wednesdays, September 11–May 21, 6:30–8pm, Ministry Center
Oaks is a three-year discipleship program for men to study and put into practice the gospel—day-to-day, moment-by-moment—with those God has put in our path. We meet weekly to study but also gather socially to grow and build community. Won’t you join us?
Men's Service Team
As we receive requests for help around the church or within the church community, we need guys who are available to help from time to time. There is no commitment other than to be notified of the opportunity to serve. We’d love to have you as part of the team! To be added to this list, contact Men's Ministries.
Leadership
We have a group of leaders dedicated to this ministry, but we are always looking for more leaders to help us drive the mission forward. If you want to help lead, contact Men's Ministries and we’ll take you out for a cup of coffee to talk about how you can get plugged in.
