The Life Group Experience

"Being part of a Life Group has been a tremendous blessing. We've had the opportunity to spend wonderful times of growing deeper in relationship, worship, study of God’s Word, prayer, and service together as a group. We love it!" –Don Herweyer

Don and Kathy Herweyer are just one example of people who weren’t sure what to expect from Life Groups. But they prayed about it and dove right in as facilitators.

“Not having a lot of experience in being involved in a small group, I had some questions and reservations. But when God leads, all we need to do is to take a step of faith in making ourselves available and trust Him for the results. I have found He never disappoints. Being a part of a Life Group has been a tremendous blessing. We've had the opportunity to spend wonderful times of growing deeper in relationship, worship, study of God’s Word, prayer, and service together as a group. We love it! Kathy and I would heartily recommend becoming involved as a Life Group member, facilitator or coach."

The Life Group experience is designed as an opportunity that breeds genuine care, concern and connection. We’re hearing stories of groups that attend ministry events together, meet on Sunday mornings to worship together and reach out to others in projects like New Hope Serves or supporting refugees through Arrive Ministries. Relationships are being built through the ordinary activities of life: moving homes, babysitting, new births, health crisis, loss and grieving. What a beautiful thing to see the body of Christ building one another up.

While we see the importance of incorporating biblical truth into Life Groups connections, they aren't your typical Bible studies. There’s commitment and depth that goes beyond meeting to study Scripture. But the relational, emotional and spiritual benefits are tremendous and there is plenty of opportunity for training and learning from one another along the way.
